Arriving in a new city with luggage is the least fun part of any trip. Here is exactly what to expect.知らない街に、大きな荷物で着く。旅でいちばん気の張る場面です。だから、到着してからの流れを先にお見せします。
STEP 1
From the airport, by rail空港から、ゆいレールで
Yui Rail from Naha Airport to Miebashi or Makishi Station takes about 15 minutes, then it is a 7-minute walk through the covered arcade — dry even when it rains.那覇空港からゆいレールで美栄橋駅・牧志駅まで約15分、そこから徒歩約7分。途中はアーケード商店街なので、雨でも濡れずに歩けます。国際通りからなら徒歩2分です。
STEP 2
Look for the wooden sign木の看板と、緑の階段
A carved wooden "The Guesthouse Noah" signboard hangs over the staircase, with the room guide beside it. It is lit at night, so it is easy to find after dark. Rooms 301 and 302 are up these stairs.階段の上に、彫り文字の木看板。その横に301号室・302号室のご案内を掲示しています。夜は灯りがつくので、暗くなってからでも見つけられます。ここを上がった先が、お部屋です。
STEP 3
A stair lift takes you up to the second floor.昇降機を利用し2階までは楽にあがれます。
There is a powered stair lift on the staircase — a seat you ride. It runs between the ground floor and the second floor only; from the second floor up to the guest floor on the third, you climb the last flight on foot. If you would rather send a suitcase up on the lift instead, you are welcome to try that too. Self check-in from 4:00 PM — the instructions reach you before you land.階段には電動の昇降機がついています。いすに座って、お客様ご自身が乗って上がれるタイプです。
ただし昇降機が動くのは1階から2階までの区間だけで、2階からお部屋のある3階までは、階段をお上がりいただきます。
スーツケースなど大きなお荷物を載せてみたい場合は、必要に応じてお試しください。チェックインは16:00からのセルフチェックイン。手順は到着前にお送りします。
Note: the guest floor is reached by stairs. The stair lift is a seat you ride, but it only covers the flight from the ground floor to the second floor — the last flight, from the second floor to the third, has to be climbed on foot. If anyone in your party finds stairs difficult, message us before you book — we will describe the steps, the handrail and the lift honestly so you can judge whether the house will work for you. ※お部屋へは階段でお上がりいただきます。昇降機はお客様が座って乗るタイプですが、動くのは1階から2階までの区間のみで、2階から3階までの最後のひと組は、階段をお上がりいただく必要があります。階段の上り下りにご不安のある方は、ご予約前にお知らせください。実際の段差・手すり・昇降機の状況をお伝えしたうえで、ご判断いただけます。

Naha's legendary covered market — pick your fish downstairs, have it cooked upstairs.那覇名物のアーケード市場。1階で魚を選び、2階で調理してもらえます。
Goya Tempura呉屋てんぷら
Crispy Okinawan-style tempura by the public market — the local snack everyone grabs on the go.公設市場そばの沖縄風てんぷら。地元の人がふらりと立ち寄る人気の軽食店です。
Uehara Meat (since 1953)上原ミート（1953年創業）
Late-night steak is an island tradition. This neighbourhood butcher has been cutting it since 1953 — buy a thick slab and cook it on the mini kitchen's IH stove.シメのステーキは沖縄の定番。1953年創業の地元精肉店で分厚い一枚を買って、ミニキッチンのIHコンロで焼く。当宿でよくある過ごし方です。

Don Quijote, open until 3 AM深夜3時まで開く、ドン・キホーテ
Two minutes away, the Kokusai-dori branch of Don Quijote trades from 9:00 until 3:00 the next morning. Landed on a delayed flight with nothing for dinner? Realised on your last night that you forgot a souvenir for the office? You have not missed your chance — walk down and it is still open. Souvenirs, snacks, toiletries, a charger, a swimsuit, an extra suitcase. Opening hours can change, so do check on the day.徒歩2分の「ドン・キホーテ 国際通り店」は、朝9時から翌朝3時までの営業です。
飛行機が遅れて夜遅くに着いた日も、最終日の夜に「職場へのお土産を買い忘れた」と気づいた日も、まだ間に合います。ちんすこう、紅いもタルト、島唐辛子、泡盛。日用品も、充電器も、水着も、スーツケースまで。
買い忘れても「明日でいいか」ではなく「今から行けます」。（営業時間は変更になる場合があります）
Okinawan food culture, one minute away沖縄の食文化を、徒歩1分で
Makishi Public Market is a minute from the door — and it is not a tourist replica, it is where Naha shops. Rainbow-coloured reef fish, sea grapes, pig's ear, island vegetables you cannot name. Pick your fish downstairs and the second-floor kitchens will cook it for you on the spot, or carry it back and cook it here on the IH stove. Staying beside the market turns eating in Okinawa from a restaurant list into something you do yourself.牧志公設市場は、玄関から徒歩1分。観光用に作られた市場ではなく、那覇の人が今も買い物をする場所です。
鮮やかな色の島魚、海ぶどう、ミミガー、名前も知らない島野菜。1階で選んだ魚を2階の食堂で調理してもらう「持ち上げ」ができます。
そして当宿にはミニキッチンがあります。買って帰って、その日のうちに焼く。お店で食べるだけでなく、自分で選んで作る。それができるのが、この距離です。
Yachimun pottery within a 10-minute walk壺屋焼の販売店まで、徒歩10分以内
Walk ten minutes and the neon stops: Tsuboya Yachimun Street is a quiet stone-paved lane where Okinawan potters have worked for three hundred years. Kilns, galleries and shops sell the real thing — thick glazed cups, shisa lions, plates with that unmistakable brown-and-white brushwork. There are yachimun shops on Ukishima-dori and the market arcades closer still. A cup you chose yourself outlasts anything from the airport shop.10分ほど歩くと、ネオンが途切れて石畳の坂道になります。300年の歴史をもつ焼きもののまち、壺屋やちむん通りです。
窯元、ギャラリー、販売店。ぽってりと厚い湯呑み、シーサー、あの茶と白の絵付けの皿。もっと近くでよければ、浮島通りや市場周辺のアーケードにもやちむんの店が点在しています。
空港の売店で急いで選ぶより、自分で手に取って選んだ器のほうが、帰ってからも長く使えます。
